Our Vision:

our Story

Who are we?
Daigle Brothers Inc. (DBI) is a trusted structural and miscellaneous steel fabricator based in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, serving a wide range of industries including healthcare, commercial, food processing, industrial, residential, and education. While specializing in complex carbon steel fabrication for the construction industry, Daigle Brothers has a skilled workforce that can and has fabricated stainless steel and aluminum for various companies.
Our Beginnings
The company’s story began in 1987 when founder Steve Daigle, at just 20 years old, entered the welding trade as a subcontractor for South Side Welding and Sandblasting in Tomahawk. A year later, he purchased the business and its equipment, becoming the sole owner and operator. In 1991, Steve partnered with his brother Lee to form Daigle Brothers, shifting the company’s focus toward fabrication, sandblasting, and painting for local papermills and other industrial clients. A major milestone came in 1993 when DBI secured its
first structural steel contract for the construction of the Tomahawk Middle School, establishing a reputation for quality, reliability, and customer service that continues to define the company today.

Expansion

In 1998, Steve and his wife Marie assumed full ownership and launched several strategic initiatives, including facility expansions, inhouse design department, the addition of CNC equipment, and the adoption of a continuous improvement culture. In 2009, Daigle Brothers sought after and earned the highly respected AISC certification, and has successfully passed each annual review since.
Technology
As technology evolved, DBI transitioned from paper-based systems to a fully digital workflow. In 2019, the company invested heavily in a new ERP system, Tekla Powerfab. This has integrated all departments, streamlined many tasks, and has provided a variety of ways to track progress and material flow. All departments, including the shop, now have instant access to the information they need. The machinery in the shop have also improved: saw/drill lines, burn table, break press, beam coper, tube coper, laser layout, angle line and coper all use automated CNC files from CAD to increase efficiency and ensure consistent quality.

Recent Facility Upgrades
Other recent investments include a 337kw solar power system, upgrading the facility’s electrical systems to support increased capacity and new equipment, purchasing Slinger beam rotators, and upgrading to dual-feed wire welders. In 2025, Daigle Brothers will finish construction of a 13,000 sq foot addition with additional 15-ton overhead cranes and marshaling yard to better manage multiple large-scale projects and simplify product flow. Innovation remains central to Daigle Brother’s identity—Steve even holds a U.S. patent for a hydraulic shoveling platform used in a proprietary line of truck bed inserts called Hot Patch.
Present Day
Still family-driven, DBI continues to grow under the leadership of the Daigle family. Steve’s nephew serves as plant manager, Marie plays an active role in operations and strategy, and their son Peter is learning the business from the ground up. Committed to giving back, the Daigle family also support the next generation by awarding scholarships to students pursuing careers in technical fields, encouraging them to embrace challenges and drive innovation forward.
