Daigle Brothers' History

In 1987, at age 20, Steve Daigle began working for Southside Welding and Sandblasting.  In 1988 he bought the Company and the equipment to become sole owner and operator.  In 1991, the Company became Daigle Brothers Southside Welding and Sandblasting when he joined into a partnership with brother, Lee Daigle.  The two began adding employees and had three employees by 1993.  In 1994 they moved into a new 2400 square foot building at the current site and became incorporated shortly after.  By the spring of 1998, the Company added an Estimating, and Engineering Department.  Steve and his wife, Marie, bought out Lee’s portion of the Company.  Business continued to grow as the company expanded into the current 17,000 square foot facility Since then, a second shift has been added.  At the present time Daigle Brothers employs 38 full-and part time employees.  Services now provided by the company include welding, metal fabrication, and machining, with structural steel fabrication being the primary business.
